147. Pods as Resource

MAMFE, CAMEROON, 2004. Cacao pods returning to the soil. They should be composted so their valuable minerals can be spread around the trees. This is the sort of project that university extension services could work on. Unfortunately, while the American media bemoan the growing shortage of cacao on the market, American universities do nothing to solve the problem. This is Mission Three of PH&F: to link American students’ experience and knowledge to solve problems.
