DAWAYO-CHANTIER, COTE-D'IVOIRE, 2008. This year, we purchased several hundred plastic bags. These allow farmers to store cocoa or grains for months without quality loss. The plastic is air-impervious so the contents become anaerobic. Consequently insects and their eggs are destroyed and fats do not oxidize.
