21. MMANIAYE, GHANA, 2009

This village is extremely industrious. They make gari and coconut oil. Every time you visit them, people are busy manufacturing something. In this picture, the young man is drying gari, which is served with meat. It is the Ghanaian equivalent of the Ivoirian attiéké.
