37. PORT BOUET, COTE D’IVOIRE, 2006

A young lad living in a neighborhood near the airport. Port Bouët has a large Dioula population; the Dioulas are Northerners and although but one of the many ethnicities, the name has come to mean all northerners. The houses in Port Bouët are concrete, built by the government, and the ground is sand as the ocean is only 200 feet away.
