Helping African Cocoa Farmers
We have been visiting Depa since 2005; we did not visit in 2012, the year after the civil war, when violence was still common. In the 8 years, we have donated the following:
Small Tools (boots, machetes, sharpeners, solar lights, clothing, shovels, picks, etc.): $4,000
Scale & dryness meter: $1,100
Rice Hulling Operation: $25,000
Chocolate factory: $30,000
TOTAL: $56,100
There are many ways to become involved withe PHF. The easiest to make a financial contribution. PHF have operates with a volunteer board of directors. We have one part time paid contractor in Côte d'Ivoire that helps us. All donations are used to support the villages. You may also choose to donate your time and expertise.
