6. Depa, Côte d'Ivoire

We have been visiting Depa since 2005;  we did not visit in 2012, the year after the civil war, when violence was still common.  In the 8 years, we have donated the following:

Small Tools (boots, machetes, sharpeners, solar lights, clothing, shovels, picks, etc.):  $4,000

Scale & dryness meter:   $1,100

Rice Hulling Operation:  $20,000

Chocolate factory:  $10,000
