Cocoa Genetics and Chocolate Flavor

Tom gave a 15 minute talk to 100 local members of the Central Coast chapter. Among the attendees were retired Dean of Agriculture, Dr. Lance Carter, retired Professor of Agricultural Education, Dr. Joe Sabol, and retired Crop Science Professor, Dr. Chuck Atlee, one of the first professors to teach at the EARTH University in Costa Rica.
The talk finished with a comparison of 6 chocolates from 6 countries. The Central Coast chapter gave Tom a check for $500 made out to Project Hope and Fairness in appreciation of his talk and invited him to keynote the upcoming meeting of the California Rare Fruit Growers Association.
