But we donated a scale ($500 value) to the village in 2009 because an 8th grade class in Indiana raised the money by selling chocolate bars (after designing the wrappers and wrapping the bars). I Skyped with two classes of 8th Graders about what they had accomplished. At the time, I was trying to raise money to put a scale in each of the 6,000 cocoa growing villages in Cote d'Ivoire.
If we could melt down the propeller on one aircraft carrier, we'd have enough money to solve a huge problem in CI, where villages have no scale and no dryness meter.
